Purpose
Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering high quality and compliant proposals for clients in the mining, minerals and metals sector. The Proposals Lead will be experienced in scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, leading storyboarding sessions, facilitating key review meetings / final document review, coordinating proposal governance / sign off, document production and delivery of the completed proposal.
Responsibilities
- Manage the successful development of high quality, compliant, competitive, and compelling proposals through effective collaboration across teams that include internal staff, other business lines and/or outside partners/suppliers.
- Delivery of professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes
- Work closely with other proposal managers in Canada, US, and the Americas. Collaborate with other inside sales resources at a Global level.
- Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from business development, project teams, commercial, legal and operations
- Communicate and influence at a senior level
- Ability to coach project teams and subject matter experts in persuasive writing and proposal best practice
- Document template management in line with company branding
- Strong time management / prioritization skills
- Strong written English language skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Lead Bid/No Bid, Kick-off, Strategy to Win, Proposal Technical and Commercial Review meetings
- Maintains database of commercial proposals, project examples, resumes, and other key information that will be used in proposals.
What you will bring
- Minimum 10 years of proposal development experience ideally in the EPC/EPCM services sector.
Preferable, but not required, experience in the Mining, Minerals, and Metals industry.
Degree Communications, Marketing, Business, Engineering
Will have experience or will develop experience in the use of customer relationship management software such as CRP and / or CRMT.
Proficient use of Microsoft Software products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Projects.
