This position will provide project controls support for water and wastewater treatment plant projects within the Design-Build group.


  

PCM duties include, but are not limited to the following: 


  

Providing scheduling and cost control leadership on our projects on a proactive basis. This includes development and approval of baseline schedules by working with our design, construction and operations team members. Baseline schedule shall incorporate resources as required by the PM and be in complete conformance with our Client contracts so that progress can be accurately tracked and reviewed at summary and detailed levels. 


Monthly, the PCM shall chair scheduling meetings, progress the resource loaded P6 schedule, prepare a monthly schedule narrative, and create the client invoice for Project Manager review. 


The PCM will also complete monthly cost related activities including monthly cost accrual reporting, preparation and submission of estimated costs at completion and preparation and submission of cost forecasting in our Electronic Forecasting Tool. 


The PCM will support subcontract management through PO and commitment tracking, subcontract changes, and subcontract invoicing. Additional ongoing cost activities include internal budget setup/management, loading of client change orders in the financial systems, and initiating cost transfers where needed. Additional schedule responsibilities include adding new cost loaded tasks to the schedule for added scope, weekly scheduling (3 week look ahead schedules) with analysis against the monthly P6 schedule and Time Impact Analysis. 


  

The primary focus will be project control support for Water and Wastewater Design Build projects in the Western US.  The PCM will also help develop high-level Design Build schedules for proposals. This individual can either be project-based working on a large $100M plus project or work remotely on several projects (3-5) greater than $25M. Remote work will require monthly travel to support projects as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications  
  • Bachelors degree in an engineering or construction management discipline.
  • A minimum of 15 years of cost and scheduling experience
  • Ability to develop a detailed design, procurement and construction schedule from drawings and specifications with help from the project team.
  • A minimum of 8 years of direct hands-on project control experience stationed full time at $50M or larger construction field offices
           Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Knowledge of Water and Waste Water Treatment Plants
  • Experience with Design-Build and/or Design-Build-Operate project delivery.
