Responsibilities
- Preparation of technical specifications, data sheets for mechanical equipment including pumps, bag filters, ESP, conveyors and material handling equipment, mills, fans, furnace and kilns besides other equipment used in the mining industry
- Ability to liaise with the supplier in the purchase of equipment. Review shop drawings and attend inspection as required.
- Perform technical evaluation leading to a recommendation and ultimate purchase of the equipment
- Familiar with applicable codes and standards, perform calculations to lead the design requirements
- Provide guidance to other engineers in the mechanical group
- Assist in sourcing new work and maintaining existing client base.
- Preparation of proposals and estimation of manhour budgets.
- Manage projects within budget and time constraints.
- Preparation of Scope of Work Documentation.
- Provide construction management support for clients as required.
- Stamp project deliverables.
Whatyou will bring
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Self starters and highly motivated individuals looking for career growth opportunities
- Experience in working in the mining industry and familiar with both surface and underground equipment.
- Ability to prioritize and distribute work to meet tight deadlines.
- 15 years experience in Consulting Engineering firms and /or the relevant field.
- Comprehensive working knowledge in all the relevant standards.
- EPC / Manufacturing / installation / pre-commissioning / commissioning and start-up experience.
Education Qualifications, Accreditation,Training:
Required:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering & P.Eng registration.
