- Key contributor to the delivery of all Transport and Installation scope based on Contractor installation vessels and barges for the NFPS I1P1 Project in accordance with agreed schedule and budget.
- Review of installation procedures as well as installation related engineering for offshore/subsea assets such as subsea pipelines and Cables, crossings, corrective freespan structures, jacket, deck/topside, flare and bridges, load out, transport and installations and others, as required,
- Review Contractor lifting and rigging analysis,
- Write technical project documents,
- Bring technical expertise during the review of procurement process, and confirm the project's progress at interim meetings with the Lead Engineer,
- Liaise with Contractor project teams to obtain input data, agree in installation feasibility and support its Company Management team in Contractor installation activities reviews,
- Liaise with Company/Contractor project teams to clarify installation procedures concerns.
- Collaborate to develop and constantly improve tools and internal processes for installation methods activities,
- Supervise Contractor vessels/CBs mobilizations as well as installation phases on vessel in order to validate technical solutions by respecting the rules of the Group HSEQ
- Provide support to on-going offshore installation activities,
- Maintain close liaison with appropriate members of PMT (Business, Interface / Engineering, Quality, and Safety) and gain alignment with the PMT on project execution plans, needs, objectives, and requirements
- Able to act as and represent the Installation Lead.
- Strongly promotes the safety, health, environment and security accountability for all aspects of the execution of the work scope on the offshore vessels and barges
- Monitor and flag the installation activites, to consolidate the delivery of quality assets compliant the project requirements
- Gather and/or develop data (narrative, charts, graphs, etc.) obtained during the exection of scope of installation and report it to Installation PMT for the monthly progress reporting and stewardship.
- Flag and monitor the Contractor execution timing of the workscope, to ensure it remains in accordance with the approved project execution schedule
- Liaise with engineering / operations teams to ensure that the Contractor Installation scope and its impact on Operations is minimized and aligned
- Flag and monitor the MOC process for all aspects of the Project execution related to the Load out, Transport and Installation scope from the Procedure development to completion of the installation SOW.
- Responsible for being knowledgeable of lessons learned from previous projects with the same contractor and capturing and communicating execution lessons learned for the current project
- Liaise with Installation manager and Installation Lead to highlight when PMT, Vessel Management Team or other technical support is available to address gaps
- Monitor and contribute to the execution schedule for all activities related to Transport and Offshore Installation including critical milestones, participates in the development of, and stewards recovery/contingency plans to address any schedule delays
- Interfaces with Contractor and internal/external Company parties to coordinate, align and agree on interface agreements and execution plans related to Transport and Installation.
- Able to produce supporting technical docmentation associated to the Project Installation
- Interface with COMPANY/CONTRACTOR engineering discipline leads ensuring the installation engineering input are captured within the project design and relevant installation procedures
- Supervise execution phases according to project requirements at constructions sites onshore and offshore.
- Interface with CONTRACTOR’s installation engineers to ensure COMPANY requirements are incorporated in installation documents in accordance with project technical requirements.
- Degree in an engineering discipline.
- 15+ years of major oil and gas offshore project experience with 5+ years at Senior Installation Engineering level or equivalent, with senior responsibility for leading major offshore transport and installation activities.
- knowledge and proven experience of Transport, Installation and precommissioning of Conventional platforms, including jacket and topsides as well as subsea pipeline and cables etc.
- Having autonomy, capacity to coordinate and communicate at its level within the organization are key assets to succeed at this position.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Ability to lead interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, Contractor and suppliers.
- Missions on constructions sites onshore and offshore during execution phases according to requirements.
- A fluent level in English (spoken, written and read) is essential.
- Broad and extensive knowledge of:
- Design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to transport and offshore installation of Offshore pipelines, cables and structures.
- Offshore facilities and structures design, construction, operations and installation
- EPC Contract Management
- Load out, transport and installation methods and practices
- Having work experience within the region could be a plus.
- Strong organizational, leading, and technical judgment skills
- Good engineering, or engineering coordination / leading skills, preferably in installation activities
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
- Prepare contingency plans for the unexpected (pro-active, forward-looking)
- Proactively and continuously grow technical expertise in EPC execution disciplines
- Strong influencing, and interpersonal skills, team player
- Strong organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
- Willing and able to travel to foreign locations and offshore for extended periods as required
- High level of experience and proven track record for safely managing transport and installation to delivery high quality results, safely and on time and budget
- Broad knowledge of safe execution of offshore lifting, piling, pipelay techniques, cable lay, trenching and diving activities
- Broad knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with offshore green filed and brownfield modifications and working within a gas production facility
- Strong past experience with Qatargas Projects and Standards of Business Conduct and Qatargas Project Management System (QGPMS), or alternateely with Oil & Gas Industry major Operators and/or Contractors
- Strong past experience with similar projects scope in the Gulf region.
- Broad range of experience and skills through multiple function and project assignments (multi-discipline skill set)
- Expansive knowledge of contract management and risks and mitigations associated with EPC contracting and execution
