Position Summary:
Serves as a business partner with operational counterparts in leading HSE excellence within Worley. Develops, plans, organizes, coordinates, monitors and otherwise assures effective implementation of HSE Programs to ensure compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental regulations, company and client policies and procedures. Serves as a resource for the technical interpretation of health, safety and environmental regulatory requirements. Provides ongoing communication to supervision and management concerning the assessment of the HSE program performance and in definition and implementation of recommended actions.

Serves as a resource for the technical interpretation of health, safety and environmental regulatory requirements. Provides ongoing communication to supervision and management concerning the assessment of the HSE program performance and in definition and implementation of recommended actions.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide field management, supervision and worker with the necessary services relative to all safety activities on the worksite; recommending controls to minimize worker exposure to harmful environmental factors and stresses; inspects worksites and prepares reports of findings with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Responsible for the day to day administration, coordination and implementation of individual project safety programs.
- Maintain current knowledge of safety regulations, Provincial codes relative to Workers Compensation, safety and health, etc. Advises site management of compliance and of conditions requiring attention.
- Assists in educating workers about practices, precautions, and procedures to control exposure to unhealthful materials; provides/develops HSE training aimed at regulatory and procedural compliance; conducts HSE Management training for supervisory and management personnel.
- Conduct inspection of the worksite to ensure conformance with the Provincial Occupational Health & Safety regulations, Company Safety Policies and the clients safety requirements.
- Make thorough analysis of statistical data and inspection results.
- Conduct the investigation of accidents / incidents for cause identification and preventative recommendations.
- Advise on the use of all types of personal protective equipment, evaluate their effectiveness and recommends improvements where indicated.
- Observes workers to determine compliance with respective HSE policies and procedures; assesses effectiveness in implementation of HSE program at project and office sites within in the area of responsibility, and advises appropriate levels of management regarding organizational challenges that may adversely affect HSE performance.
- Certificate / Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health &Safety.
- 5 10 yrs experience in Oil & Gas with direct field experience and good knowledge of EH&S /OH&S legislation in Alberta.
- CRSP / CSP would be an asset.
