Work Description

A 65MW combined Gas Cycle Facility is being constructed by EPC Contractor in Lome Port, Togo. The client wishes to appoint an independent contractor to undertake an assurance function which means technical review of the project, monitoring the work and monitoring the on-site tests until the Industrial Commissioning of the facilities.

This role is to be part of this critical assurance team. Key functions of the role include:

• Supervision and coordination on the ground of the activities

• Analysis and commentary on the EPC documentation relating to construction, testing, start-up, procedures and quality plans.

• Checking the assembly quality of the equipment and its compliance with contractual specifications.

• Resolving common problems as a first-level interlocutor of the intervening companies,

• Identification of the sensitive points of the activity for which it is responsible in the areas of time frames (critical paths), safety, environment and technology (regulatory aspect, compliance of the equipment put in place),

• Checking the completion of work, in accordance with the validated technical documentation,

• Participation in weekly or daily progress meetings following the construction phases,

• On-the-day field verification of the implementation of the site's environmental safety policy and compliance with regulations by the companies involved,

• Issue of observation sheets in case of immediate reduction of the safety-environment risk,

• Permanent risk analysis in terms of safety and the environment and the setting up of parades adapted to the identified risks, over the course of the activities,

• Checking the progress of work in accordance with the EPC's reporting, monitoring milestones in on-site construction activities,

• Monitoring the management of equipment and the mobilization of EPC staff on site,

• Specifications,assembliesandinspectionproceduresaresuitable for work,

Experience and Qualifications

All personnel are required to have at least 4 years’ experience of site work, working in their respective roles. All personnel are expected to be degree qualified or a suitable equivalent.
