We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical AutoCAD Designer to work on an initial short-term contract basis (6 months plus) in our offices in Leatherhead, Surrey on a large scale offshore Oil and Gas project

The Electrical AutoCAD Designer will perform the following duties;

• Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter.
• Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
• Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
• Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.

Candidates will possess the following skills and experience;

• Extensive electrical design experience.
• Some Instruments experience would also be advantageous.
• Previous experience of using the AutoCAD package.
• Detailed Design experience.
• Previous exposure to collaborative working with other global offices.
• Experience of working on both Brownfield and Greenfield projects would also be advantageous.
